Job Description We seek candidates who can deliver high-caliber instruction in the general field of Earth Surface Processes in both introductory and higher-level undergraduate Geoscience courses, on campus and online. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in college-wide instructional activities designed to enhance the educational experience at UF, including the creation of innovative general education science classes with relevant geoscience content, and strengthen undergraduate pathways to professional careers. Departmental service and curriculum development, in collaboration with other faculty members in the department and across campus, will support the mission of building a vibrant educational environment. UF is located in Gainesville, a city of approximately 150,000 residents in North-Central Florida, 50 miles from the Gulf, and 67 miles from the Atlantic Ocean, and within a 2-hour drive to large metropolitan areas (Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville). The beautiful climate and extensive nearby parks and recreational areas afford year-round outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, and nature photography.

Expected Salary Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and includes a full benefits package.

Required Qualifications Completion of a M.Sc. degree in Earth Sciences/Geosciences or a related field with at least five years of relevant experience.

Preferred Completed a Ph.D. in Earth Sciences/Geosciences or a related field by 15 August 2026.
