$25.00- $30.00 per hour/W2- No benefits Position Summary The Document Control Specialist is responsible for the administration and execution of document control functions across small and large-scale projects. This role supports the Engineering team by ensuring adherence to standardized documentation processes throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have expertise in document control systems, especially in Owner and Capital Projects, and experience working across various project phases, including FEED, EPC, and EPCM. Document Management Manage official project documentation, including the receipt, processing, tracking, and archiving of engineering documents, requisitions, purchase orders, ITPs, and inspection reports. Oversee and expedite the document review process for internal teams, contractors, and suppliers. Maintain complete and accurate records of document revisions and approvals. Project Execution Support Support document control activities for Operations Engineering work to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality. Collaborate with Project Engineers and Managers to provide document-related and analytical support. Participate in project kick-off meetings, regular status updates, and project close-out activities. Assist in managing internal document updates for MOCs and departmental needs. Handover and Compliance Coordinate with vendors to compile and maintain Job Data Books for project closeout. Ensure timely distribution and proper handling of vendor-supplied documentation for existing facilities. Support compliance with procedures and standards throughout all phases of documentation. System and Workflow Optimization Ensure accurate use of the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS). Promote integration and alignment of document control strategies between the company and external vendors. Identify and implement opportunities to improve document control workflows and efficiency. Deliver training on document control systems and workflows to Engineering teams and stakeholders. General Handle multiple high-volume projects concurrently with attention to detail. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and practices. Preferred Skills and Qualifications Solid understanding of document control processes and systems in a project environment. Familiarity with engineering documents such as P&IDs, data sheets, piping isometrics, electrical one-lines, and inspection reports. Experience supporting cross-functional teams in large-scale project execution. Proficiency with EDMS platforms such as OpenText, SharePoint, ProjectWise, or Hexagon SDx. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities with precision, professionalism, and a proactive mindset. Seniority Level:
