Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate for the Paint Sprayer role. This full‑time, 1st Shift position is based in Rockledge, FL, and offers an opportunity to contribute to a culture built on quality, integrity, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
Support the Care values of the organization.
Commit to producing a quality product for our customers.
Learn to measure out and catalyze material as needed.
Ensure the quality application of coatings to meet quality standards.
Keep supervisor and/or manager informed of the quality of parts received from other departments.
Maintain a spray application of 3.5‑4.0 wet mils on all parts consistently.
Produce and ensure a quality finish from start to finish.
Maintain a good “color eye.”
Adjust spraying equipment to ensure proper application of coating materials.
Read and understand instructions and documents in English.
Learn all species of wood used for production and finish colors by sight.
Learn and maintain knowledge of the Essential Cabinetry Group Hazardous Communication Program.
Learn and maintain knowledge of basic hazardous waste generator responsibilities.
Accurately label containers for paints, stains, cleaning solvents, and hazardous waste.
Properly dispose of used finishing products in designated hazardous waste accumulation points.
Adhere to all OSHA, EPA, federal, state, and local laws.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent with 0‑2 years of experience in a related field.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to understand work instructions and directions in English.
Good analytical skills.
Working Relationships This position requires interaction and communication with all levels of personnel in the Finish Department as well as other departments. The Paint Sprayer is supervised by the Finish Supervisor and is expected to be team‑oriented, reflecting the company’s mission, vision, and values.
Physical Requirements Position requires constant physical effort both inside and outside of an air‑conditioned environment. Duties include standing, walking, spray application motions for extended periods, and lifting or moving more than sixty (60) pounds. Visual abilities required include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus. Employee must pass a Qualitative FIT Test and be medically able to wear a half‑face air‑purifying respirator.
PPE Safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes at all times while on the production floor.
Safety Adhere to all safety rules, including use of all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Eye and hearing protection must be worn at all times while on the production floor.
