Transportation Supervisor - 2nd Shift
Quanta Manufacturing Nashville
Organizes and coordinates transportation of materials to and from multiple locations; ensures transportation operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Manages the daily movement of truck fleet and oversees drivers; ensures on-time delivery of materials across our 5 local sites.
Responsibilities
Plan and schedule transportation routes for materials.
Coordinate transportation activities with drivers, dispatchers, and other transportation personnel.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Monitor transportation logistics to ensure on-time delivery and minimize delays.
Address and resolve transportation-related issues and emergencies.
Maintain transportation records and documentation, including invoices and bills of lading.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
3-5 years of experience in transportation management, dispatching, or logistics coordination.
Other Skills And Abilities
This is a FULLY ONSITE position; must be able to report onsite daily.
Strong written and spoken English skills; bilingual in Spanish or Mandarin preferred.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with multiple languages spoken.
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changes in schedules or routing.
Proficiency in using transportation management software and tools.
Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent organizational and planning skills; detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
Computer literate in a Windows environment.
Ability to operate independently in multiple locations.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to bend, stoop, crawl, kneel, crouch, reach, stand/sit for prolonged periods, move about production and warehouse facilities.
Ability to travel between buildings within a 10-mile radius.
