To provide quality customer service and assistance to members and guests within the Ice Arena venue. Essential Functions
Provide customer service for members and guests entering the assigned venue, offer directions, and answer questions promptly and courteously. Assist and direct members and guests to avoid crowded conditions and maximize service efficiency. Verify membership status through a point‑of‑sale (POS) system. Handle cash, give change, and operate POS software. Wait on members and guests according to established procedures. Monitor all recreation activity in the assigned venue. Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of all work areas; keep the sales area clean and neatly arranged. Answer all incoming calls quickly and politely; respond to basic facility‑wide event and program questions with accurate knowledge. Work professionally with volunteers, co‑workers, members, and guests, interfacing with peers, supervisors, and people from diverse backgrounds. Adhere to RJKCCC operations, policies, and procedures adopted by the Administration. Observe all safety rules and regulations. Maintain a safe working environment and report any hazards to the proper supervisor. Assist in emergency or accident situations as needed. Attend staff meetings as assigned. Assist in venue‑specific program preparations and clean‑up. Secure the POS area at the close of shift. Attend and complete at least 2 hours of Child Safety training approved by The Salvation Army. Report any suspicion of child abuse to the appropriate supervisor and Child Protective Services. Generate legible and accurate accident and incident reports as required and forward them to the supervisor within established timeframes. Provide activities for participants of all ages in the assigned venue. Handle other duties as assigned. Working Conditions
Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously. Ability to lift up to 40 lb. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file‑cabinet drawers, and reach overhead. Ability to operate a computer, fax, and telephone. Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age. Must be able to follow written and verbal directions in English. Previous cashier and/or customer service work experience helpful. Meet all health and safety regulations as defined by the Health Department and The Salvation Army. Skills, Knowledge And Abilities
Bilingual in English/Spanish helpful. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision. Ability to function in a fast‑paced, frequently changing environment. Ability to function in an often loud, cold environment. Computer software application experience helpful. Ability to ice skate safely and assist others. Seniority level:
