Responsibilities
Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring the team follows superior customer service guidelines.
Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high‑performing team of Assistant Managers, Member Service Representatives, Trainers, and Custodians.
Schedule team shifts and ensure all shifts are covered.
Lead by example and maintain consistent accountability for direct reports through training and coaching, ensuring adherence to PF’s values and goals.
Administer and process all weekly employee payroll.
Resolve employee issues or concerns with diplomacy and professionalism.
Escalate member, staff, and club issues to the Area Manager.
Perform front‑desk related activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, cleaning and maintaining the club, taking prospective members on tours, handling new member sign‑ups, facilitating member requests, and ensuring prompt opening/closing of the gym.
Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of the facility, ensuring the safety of team, members, and club property.
Determine and communicate equipment repair needs in a timely manner.
Manage marketing efforts, ensuring the team is aware of and trained on all marketing promotions.
Authorize expenditures and refunds, make daily bank deposits if applicable, and prepare all HR related forms for the Corporate Payroll Team.
Qualifications / Requirements
At least 1 year of management experience.
At least 2 years of customer service experience, with exceptional customer service skills and a positive, professional demeanor.
Basic computer proficiency.
A passion for fitness and health.
High energy, upbeat, and positive attitude.
Punctual and reliable.
Strong listening skills with the ability to empathize and problem‑solve.
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Physical Demands
Continual standing and walking during shift.
Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Exposure to cleaning chemicals during shift.
Movement including bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and twisting to accomplish tasks.
