Senior Medical & Dental Staff Coordinator
Join UAB Medicine as a Senior Medical & Dental Staff Coordinator. This role includes credentialing and re‑credentialing support, oversight of staff coordinators, and project work in advanced credentialing and privileging.
Position Overview Pay range:
$50,050 - $81,330 per year
Schedule:
8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Job Description Under limited supervision, the Senior Medical Staff Coordinator provides individualized, personalized credentialing and re‑credentialing assistance and guidance to Practitioners, Senior Leaders, Departments, hiring stakeholders, and Medical and Dental Staff Coordinators. The coordinator provides oversight to Medical & Dental Staff Coordinators to ensure timely and accurate credentialing and re‑credentialing activities and procedures are completed. The coordinator analyzes and audits credentialing and re‑credentialing files to ensure all regulatory, accreditation, payer delegated credentialing standards and policy requirements (for all entities for which the UAB Medical & Dental Staff Office Department credentials) are met. The coordinator completes special projects involving advanced credentialing and privileging knowledge.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three (3) years of experience in credentialing/medical staff office required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
CPCS or CMSM certification preferred.
