Substance Abuse Specialist - CADC/LCAS/LCASA Location:

Requirements

LCAS, LCASA, or CADC certification

One (1) year of professional experience with the adult mental health population

Ability to perform tasks on the computer, including Microsoft 360, Excel, Word, and other basic programs

Valid driver’s license, auto insurance coverage, and reliable transportation

Pass criminal background check and other regulatory checks

Provide proof of education

Education and Experience

LCAS – Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Special Education, or closely related Human Services area

CADC – High School education

One (1) year of professional experience with adult mental health population

Job Duties

Use cognitive behavioral approaches and relapse prevention with individuals in later stages of change readiness

Facilitate the Person Centered Planning process for assigned individuals

Apply clinical processes to achieve positive outcomes: evaluation, assessment, service, treatment planning, intervention techniques, aftercare, and transition planning

Remain available face to face or by telephone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as the first responder in crisis situations
