Job Summary A sonographer uses ultrasound high-frequency sound waves to take images of the body's internal organs and tissues to assist doctors with diagnosing and monitoring a variety of conditions and diseases. A sonographer is also known as a diagnostic medical sonographer or an ultrasound technician.

Assist doctors with diagnosing and monitoring conditions and diseases.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Graduation from a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Work Experience: 2-4 years.

Certification: Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers.
