Phlebotomist I Location:

Grove City, OH

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, rotating shifts 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM with rotational weekends.

Pay:

Minimum of $18.05+ per hour, with potential annual performance bonus compensation.

Job Description Phlebotomist I – Responsible for collecting specimens, administering oral solutions, researching test information, and maintaining accurate records and billing information. Perform specimen processing including labeling, centrifugation, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport, as well as non‑patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking, and phone/in‑mail communication.

Responsibilities

Collect specimens according to established procedures (e.g., drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).

Administer oral solutions as instructed.

Verify written and electronic orders using lab technology systems and client contact, ensuring accuracy.

Enter accurate data and maintain billing information.

Obtain patient identification and collect payment where required, following company policies.

Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.

Perform inventory, stock supply management, sanitizing, filing, phone and email duties.

Read and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.

Assist with compiling and submitting statistical and data reports.

Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance, temperature, etc.) promptly.

Complete required online and in‑person training courses on time.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).

One year phlebotomy experience preferred.

Customer service experience in a retail or service setting preferred.

Proficiency with keyboard and data entry.

Effective communication in English.
