Job Overview The Low Voltage Technician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems under 50 volts, including security systems, fire alarms, audiovisual equipment, and networking infrastructure. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, troubleshooting issues, ensuring safety compliance, and testing with Fluke equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints for accurate installation.

Install security systems, fire alarms, audiovisual equipment, telecommunications systems, and networking infrastructure.

Pull, route, install, and terminate structured cabling infrastructure in commercial and solar environments.

Install NVR systems and associated hardware such as cameras, switches, and storage devices according to project specifications.

Provide access control installation, service, and maintenance.

Physically pull CAT5 – CAT6A cables through conduits, cable trays, walls, ceilings, and floors.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Test mal ensure functionality.

Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Perform additional duties as assigned by site leadership.

Qualifications

Reliable attendance and consistent schedule.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Minimum one year of experience in the physical security, fire alarm, or low voltage communications industry.

Ability to travel to various project sites, including remote locations.

Reliable transportation for commuting to job sites.

Proficient with technical tools and testing equipment for high‑quality cabling installations.

Capable of heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling materials up to 50 lbs.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Workable in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and precipitation.

Full use of hands, arms, shoulders, back, and visual acuity for depth and color perception.

Self‑motivated with initiative.

Team player who works well with others.

18 or older.

Proof of identity and employment authorization.
