About The Role Shamrock is for an Operational Accounting Specialist to join our accounting team. You’ll handle customer accounts and assist with billing and invoicing for both fuel and factoring. The ideal candidate will be customer‑focused but also detail‑oriented.
What You’ll Do
Perform billing and operational accounting tasks related to software billing, factoring operations, accounts payable, and corporate accounting.
Assist with invoicing software customers and setting up new customer accounts daily.
Review and update bank account information in customer profiles and initiate ACH collections.
Apply cash payments to customer accounts, review the aging for overdue receivables, and make collection calls to customers.
Assist with agent bank account setups and monthly commission payouts.
Work directly with software clients and factoring agents to resolve billing or payment issues.
Review rate table setups for factoring, as part of a team of reviewers.
Help monitor credit card transactions as part of the RTS Carrier Services fuel program.
Assist the treasury team with data entry as needed.
Assist corporate accounting with month‑end close and year‑end audit as needed.
Cross‑train as a backup for other team members as needed.
What You’ll Bring
B.S. Degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred (or related areas).
Experience in Microsoft Office Products, especially Microsoft Excel.
High energy and ability to multi‑task.
Ability to work in a high volume, fast‑paced environment.
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and to manage time effectively.
Requires an ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of employees, managers, and customers.
