The Role The Lead Medical Assistant is both a clinical expert and a team mentor. You will ensure every patient visit runs smoothly, oversee daily clinic flow, coordinate staffing and labs, and serve as the bridge between providers, Medical Assistants, and leadership. Your leadership will guarantee clinically excellent, operationally efficient care that respects every patient.
What You’ll Do
Coordinate daily MA–provider schedules and manage real‑time clinic flow.
Support and train MAs in all clinical functions to ensure consistency and quality.
Oversee lab coordination, specimen handling, and patient safety protocols.
Lead morning huddles and maintain smooth communication across the care team.
Conduct one‑on‑one coaching and professional development with MAs.
Monitor in‑basket and task distribution to maintain timeliness and accuracy.
Identify workflow improvements and collaborate with leadership to implement solutions.
What You Bring
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
3+ years of MA experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentorship role.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Clinical proficiency in vitals, EKG, POCT, and phlebotomy.
Calm, adaptable, and solutions‑oriented under pressure.
