Perform ship checks to support DDG design development. Develop ship alteration drawings for repair and modernization of ships in the fleet. On-Site Representation (OSR) Responsibilities
Support installation of maintenance and modernization alterations during scheduled ship availabilities. Interface with the customer on the waterfront, Ship's Force, and GDBIW Engineers/Designers. Benefits

High School Diploma / GED required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office required. Experience Levels and Pay Range
1st Class ($33.02/Hr. - $39.13/Hr.)
Minimum 7 years design experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience, or Associate/Vocational degree with 4 years of experience. 2nd Class ($29.38/Hr. - $31.69/Hr.)
Minimum 4 years design experience, or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or Associate/Vocational degree with 2 years of experience. Proficiency in 3D CAD or AutoCAD required. Additional Requirements
Ability to obtain a government security clearance; US Citizenship required. Ability to work in industrial environments, including climbing, kneeling, and working in tight spaces. Job Details
