Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Float Pool Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) • Every other weekend requirement • Float between ICU, MedSurg Tele, and PCU across both campuses including inpatients holding in ED • Nurse to patient ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6 • Must have at least 1 year ICU experience • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS • Must take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing contract (80% passing score) • Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin • Care for geriatric patients, ortho patients, post-procedural patients, and cardiac patients including post-MI and CABG patients • Must be able to interpret cardiac strips • Work with RT equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high flow in PCU • Schedule published 6 weeks out for 4 weeks at a time with flexible scheduling requirements • Unit assignments notified 2 hours prior to shift start via text message • Standby requirement possible when staffing levels are excessive • Holiday requirements included in permanent staff rotation • 8-hour general hospital orientation plus 12-hour shifts at West MedTele and PCU • Dress code: solid color professional scrubs (changing to Navy scrubs in October) • Charting system: Cerner • Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract (3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks)
