Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM

• Weekend rotation required

• Holiday rotation required

• No call responsibilities

• Patient ratio of 1:5 in Progressive Care Unit setting

• 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted

• Must have cardiac telemetry experience and PCU ratio experience

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale

• Must have experience with management and interpretation of dysrhythmias

• Peripheral line care/management and PICC line management required

• Must be able to titrate drips

• Epic charting system experience required

• All RNs must pass an EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)

• Must complete 36 hours of orientation

• Floating required as needed between all campuses

• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences

• Compliance deadline is 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date

• Care for adult patients with stroke, renal disorders, sepsis, endocrine disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, and hematological disorders

The unit maintains a centralized cardiac monitoring department for patient surveillance and offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
