About the Role We’re seeking a skilled
CNC Set-Up Machinist
to join our growing precision manufacturing team. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience setting up and operating 3-, 4-, or 5‑axis CNC mills or lathes in a high‑mix, low‑volume environment. You’ll play a key role in preparing jobs for production, maintaining quality standards, and supporting prototype and production runs.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes (Haas, Okuma, DMG Mori, etc.)
Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and setup sheets
Select proper tooling, offsets, and work‑holding for each job
Verify first‑article parts and make necessary adjustments
Perform basic edits and troubleshooting at the machine control
Work with engineering and programming teams to improve processes
Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety standards
Qualifications
3+ years of CNC machining and setup experience
Proficient with precision measuring tools and quality inspection
Ability to read technical drawings and machining documentation
Experience with Haas or Okuma controls preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
