About the Company Our client is a leading ENR‑ranked, mid‑sized General Contractor headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Known for its strong culture of mentorship, internal promotion, and long‑term career growth, the company has a proven track record delivering complex construction projects across a variety of sectors, including Higher Education, K‑12, Healthcare, Commercial, Industrial, Retail, and Multi‑Family. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Construction Project Manager to join their team.

Position Overview The Construction Project Manager will oversee and manage the full lifecycle of ground‑up commercial projects. This role is office‑based in Columbus with no travel required. The ideal candidate has been a project manager for at least 2 years and has experience in healthcare, education, and K‑12.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day‑to‑day operations of assigned projects from preconstruction through closeout

Lead project teams including Superintendents, Project Engineers, and subcontractors

Develop and track project schedules, budgets, and financial reports

Oversee subcontractor buyout, contract execution, and performance

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company protocols

Maintain proactive communication with clients, architects, and consultants

Resolve project‑related issues and facilitate decision‑making in a timely manner

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager with a general contractor

Experience managing commercial construction projects

Sector experience in education, healthcare, commercial, industrial, or multi‑family is a plus

Proficiency with construction management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam)

Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred but not required

Compensation Base pay range: $125,000.00/yr – $175,000.00/yr
