Licensed Master Social Worker (NY HELPS)
Location: Central New York Psychiatric Center – Greene Mental Health Unit, Greene County
Pay Range: $74,193.00/yr – $94,121.00/yr (based on skills and experience)
Duties Description
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides culturally competent and evidence‑based treatment and support services to individuals with mental illness. Your duties include:
Providing crisis intervention, service linkages, and discharge planning
Developing treatment plans with individuals and the treatment team; monitoring and evaluating progress; and modifying treatment plans as needed
Determining discharge needs and appropriate community resources
Establishing and maintaining relationships with community providers to ensure continuity of care
Minimum Qualifications
Licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
For State Service employees: one year of permanent competitive or 55‑b/55‑c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law
Additional Comments
LMSWs are eligible for shift differential pay: 7 % for evening and weekend day shifts; 10 % for night shifts

Position located on the grounds of Greene Correctional Facility in Greene County.
License Maintenance
Maintaining your license and registration is required; failure may lead to removal or termination
Must not be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any Federal or State Medicaid/Medicare exclusion lists
Must be an enrolled Medicare provider, have a National Provider Identifier, and be able to bill through Medicare and Medicaid; inability to bill may result in termination
