Radiology Technologist
– Baptist Health Urgent Care – Bryant, AR
Job Summary Baptist Health Urgent Care is looking for experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X‑Ray Techs to join our team in Bryant, AR. This position will perform X‑ray testing, including body mechanics and patient movement, using knowledge of anatomy and physiology. You will operate diagnostic equipment, develop film, and prepare the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure, as well as perform Medical Assistant duties.
Key Responsibilities
Promptly greet patients when entering the waiting area, exam room, laboratory, or X‑ray room.
Consistently communicate with patients about wait times; provide direction to the next step in the treatment process.
Provide solutions to patient problems and recognize and seek help in emergent/hazardous situations.
Execute follow‑up calls with a sense of urgency.
Assist front desk personnel with patient check‑in/out procedures when necessary.
Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs and weight, take brief history, past medical, family and social history, current medications, allergies and other pertinent historical information as appropriate.
Assist with patient transfers.
Assist with procedures directly supervised by the provider.
Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient visits.
Perform timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.
Perform necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed.
Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory procedures regarding patient safety and care, including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.
Ensure that equipment is in proper working order and report any malfunctions to the manager or provider on duty.
Assume responsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with the support and assistance of outside educational resources.
Maintain current licensure and certification for the facility radiology equipment.
Schedule Full‑time team members work a rotating 36‑40 hour per week schedule, consisting of 12‑hour weekday shifts and every‑other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as‑needed basis.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
BLS Certification.
AR State X‑Ray License.
ARRT Certification preferred.
Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
