Oncology Bone Marrow Transplant Registered Nurse - Travel Position

Pay: $2220.48/week
Completion Bonus: Up to $7,500 total.

Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to work on the specialized Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit at Medical City Dallas. This unit is highly acute, caring for patients undergoing autologous, allogeneic, and CAR‑T therapies. This role mandates expertise in chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing, alongside the ability to manage patients requiring a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) level of care. The successful candidate must possess excellent assessment skills and be ready to join a supportive, collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-level nursing care to oncology and BMT patients, including those undergoing complex treatments like autologous/allogeneic transplants and CAR‑T therapies.
Competently administer chemotherapy and other cancer‑related treatments.
Utilize excellent assessment skills to monitor, manage, and promptly communicate patient conditions, especially in a PCU‑level environment.
Read telemetry and monitor simple titration of drips (ability to perform these tasks is preferred/needed).
Participate in bedside shift reports and safety rounds, adhering to the “No Pass Zone” and “Manage Team Up” protocols.
Assist with unit procedures, such as infrequent Bone Marrow (BM) biopsies.
Adhere to scheduling requirements, including rotating weekends.
Qualifications
Active RN license in Texas.
Certifications (REQUIRED): Chemo Certification (Implied by ONS Chemo listed under certifications)
BLS (American Heart Association)
ACLS (American Heart Association)
Experience (MUST HAVE): Oncology experience
PCU level of care experience
BMT experience is preferred.
COVID vaccine and recent TB test may be required.
