Travel Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Monday and Wednesday • 13-week contract length with 36 guaranteed hours per week (no guaranteed hours first 2 weeks) • No weekend requirements • No on-call or callback requirements • Black scrubs required • 4 years of OR experience required • 2 years of inpatient hospital experience as an RN with at least 2 years in specialty area • Current Texas nursing license required • Current BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association required • EPIC charting system (highly preferred) • Must be proficient in all OR skills including: Eyes, ENT, GYN, Ortho (total joints and sports medicine), Robotics (Xi), Urology, Plastics, General, Pain Services, Vascular Services, and colorectal • Virtual orientation via Microsoft Teams followed by in-person Epic training at Galveston campus • Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred • Overtime available for hours worked over 40 per week Facility: This healthcare facility is a 310-bed academic medical center serving as a Level I Trauma Center. The facility provides comprehensive surgical services with advanced technology including robotic surgery capabilities. The organization offers a wide range of specialized surgical procedures and maintains high standards for patient care with state-of-the-art operating rooms and equipment to support diverse surgical specialties.
