Travel Opportunity: RN - NICU Job Details: • Work as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing professional nursing knowledge and skills in patient care • Apply the nursing process in provision and management of care to patients • 16-hour shifts with guaranteed hours • EMR system: EPIC experience required • Float between NICU and Pediatric units as needed • NICU nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3 unless acuity requires more intensive staffing • Work with specialized equipment including Drager CPAP and Ventilators, HFOV, Jet, Cooling, and CFM monitors in NICU • Pediatric unit equipment includes Drager CPAP and Vapotherm • Administer drips including vasopressors and sedation medications in NICU, insulin titration per order/protocol in Pediatrics • Required certifications: PALS (AHA), BLS, NRP • Iowa nursing license required • Minimum 1.5 years NICU experience required • Must be comfortable floating between NICU and Pediatric units • Same day interviews available • Dress code: Black, Navy, or Caribbean blue pants with UPH scrub top or child scrub top • Holiday requirements: Must work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
