On-Site Position Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Mississippi or compact state)

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

Fetal Monitoring certification

All required certifications must be submitted with application

Permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility (per travel nurse guidelines)

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery

Monitor fetal and maternal health using advanced fetal monitoring techniques

Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Administer prescribed medications and interventions

Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care

Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Comply with facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols
