$1650-$1770
ICU Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience (telemetry, ventilator management, peripheral IV start required; ICP monitoring preferred)
At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
Active DC RN License (pending accepted with proof of application; must have license prior to start date)
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (CCRN preferred)
Experience with Cerner charting system
Ability to work weekends and float as needed
Two supervisor references required
ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with neurological diagnoses including brain tumors, strokes, seizures, movement disorders, and post-neurosurgery management
Manage advanced ICU equipment and procedures: ventilator management, arterial and central line care, EVD and lumbar drains, CRRT, EEG monitoring
Administer emergency medications, blood products, and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips
Interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
Maintain infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions
Float to other units of similar or lower acuity as required
