Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience

Experience in large (500+ bed), teaching hospitals preferred

Prior travel nursing experience preferred (may be waived for candidates with large facility and multiple ER experience)

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Required certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (proof of class or certification required prior to start)

EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)

Preferred certifications: CEN, ENPC, MOAB, ProAct, or other de-escalation training

Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (public transportation not accessible)

Vehicles must have all-season or snow tires November–April

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in the Emergency Department

Work 12-hour rotating shifts, including every other weekend and schedule adjustments as needed

Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation and patient management

Respond to emergencies and deliver advanced life support interventions

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams in a fast-paced, teaching hospital environment

Maintain compliance with all required certifications and hospital protocols

Complete work history information and explain any employment gaps over 90 days for submission
