Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required for travel nursing positions
Active, permanent Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license (required at submission)
Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (active, not pending)
Recent experience (within 6 months) with Epic EMR charting system
Two recent supervisory references in Med/Surg Telemetry (from manager, ANM, supervisor, or director within the past 12 months)
Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (2 attempts maximum)
Ability to complete BCI/FBI background checks and onsite fingerprinting prior to start date
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced Med/Surg Telemetry unit, specializing in orthopedic and surgical cases
Monitor, interpret, and respond to telemetry data and patient condition changes
Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as prescribed
Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for patient care coordination and discharge planning
Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge instructions
Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and clinical staff
