Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Dialysis RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Williston, North Dakota. Required Qualifications
One year of recent experience as a Dialysis RN
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
Preferred Qualifications
ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) or Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN)
Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
Essential Work Functions
Assess and monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after dialysis treatment to ensure stability and safety
Oversee the dialysis treatment from start to finish, including cannulating accesses, securing blood work, and documenting findings
Administer prescribed medications accurately, following physician orders and documenting appropriately
Assure proper maintenance of equipment and provision of adequate supplies
Adhere to infection control protocols when cleaning and dressing permanent and temporary catheters to prevent complications
Document patient conditions, dialysis treatments, and care interventions accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards
Respond promptly to emergencies during dialysis, such as hypotension or cardiac events, to ensure patient safety
Educate patients and their families about kidney disease, hemodialysis, medication management, and lifestyle adjustments to support long‑term health
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and safety of dialysis care
Stay informed on advancements in nephrology and dialysis technology to incorporate best practices into patient care
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
Physical Abilities
– Must be able to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
Interpersonal Skills
– Must work effectively with a variety of personnel to present a positive attitude and professionalism
Technical/Motor Skills
– Must grasp, perform fine manipulation, and move equipment as needed during procedures
Mental Requirements
– Must cope with frequent contact with the public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure, and work with both close supervision and independently
Sensory
– Must possess visual acuity and effective communication ability
