Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174‑bed private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL. The hospital provides 24‑hour emergency services and offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment for children, adolescents and adults; partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and ECT services for adults. Our treatment philosophy is based on a team approach that treats patients with dignity and respect while delivering high‑quality care.
Responsibilities The Intake Counselor is responsible for performing all aspects of Central Florida Behavioral Hospital’s intake and admission process: handling inquiry calls efficiently, communicating with referral sources, providing hospital and program information to individuals, agencies and professionals, making outside referrals when appropriate, assessing and triaging an individual’s mental health status, making patient safety and level of care recommendations to the physician, identifying insurance benefits, pre‑certifying patient care, completing all admission requirements, communicating patient safety concerns and pertinent patient information to unit nursing staff, and documenting all necessary information in Med Series 4.

Qualifications
Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Nursing Degree required.
Minimum of two (2) years experience in the mental health field preferred.
Communication and teamwork skills.
