Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems invites you to join as a Manager Tool Die Making 2, a leadership role within the Tooling organization. This position is headquartered in Palmdale, CA.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a group of 5 to 15 hourly non‑exempt employees and/or level 1 managers.

Manage and coordinate AEO activities with other programs to ensure appropriate staffing/de‑staffing actions are developed and executed.

Own responsibility for program and technical performance while providing objective‑oriented directions to reporting personnel, utilizing management guidelines and general policies.

Monitor and manage risk items to ensure mitigating actions are effective and timely addressed.

Promote Lean, Knowledge Management, and other process improvement initiatives, sharing lessons learned and best practices across the organization.

Manage personnel performance evaluation, merit planning, employee development, and utilization of EVMS to manage direct costs.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of related professional/military experience in manufacturing, aerospace, tooling, manufacturing integration or fabrication industries.

Minimum of 2 years of prior management/leadership experience.

Availability to work any shift.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (US citizenship required).

Preferred Qualifications

Active DoD Clearance.

Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access.

Experience supervising and managing large projects, especially machining, manufacturing, and assembly processes.

Experience managing shop schedules with dynamic priority changes.

Aerospace or aviation industry experience managing machine shops (3‑, 4‑, & 5‑axis), tool fabrication shops, and shop flow scheduling.

Strong project management, Microsoft Office, communication, and presentation skills.

Primary Level Salary Range:

$129,300.00 – $193,900.00. The actual offer may vary based on experience, education, skills, and market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and allow sharing in company results.
