We are looking for an admitted attorney for an Associate Immigration Attorney position within a premier law firm in the Dallas Area. The Associate Attorney will report to the Senior Associate Attorney, manage caseloads, interact with clients, and collaborate with the Immigration Team of Attorneys and legal assistants.
Hybrid position requiring in-person court appearances.
Responsibilities
Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions
Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
Manage workload of cases
Conduct intake with detained individuals at centers
Prepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions
Review immigration applications/packets and make necessary adjustments
Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on changes in immigration law
Meet with potential clients for strategic immigration consultations and determine necessary strategy
Develop strategy and prepare clients and witnesses for court/USCIS testimony
Provide legal analysis to determine possible case benefits
Prepare and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases
Qualifications
1 to 4 years of Immigration Law experience
Team player, open to helping, strategizing, and collaborating with associates
Preferably bilingual (English/Spanish)
Interpersonal skills of the highest caliber
Track record of moving legal cases forward and managing a caseload
Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications
Experience with case management software is preferred
Pay Range: $80,000–120,000 USD DOE
