Clinical Pharmacist PRN Join HCA Florida North Florida Hospital to work as a Clinical Pharmacist PRN, providing general clinical and pharmacy services and supervising technical staff. This is a part‑time, entry‑level position at a 523‑bed acute care center.

Responsibilities

Interpret, transcribe, or verify orders accurately and efficiently into the pharmacy computer system.

Accurately compound and dispense pharmaceuticals.

Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug‑drug, drug‑food interactions, allergies, and appropriateness of drug and dose.

Sustain the hospital formulary, minimizing non‑formulary procurements, using therapeutic interchanges, and promoting rational drug therapy selection.

Provide accurate and timely medication information to healthcare staff and patients.

Assist with clinical services such as drug consults, nutrition support, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulant monitoring, pain management, IV to PO, renal dosing, and other programs as defined by Pharmacy Leadership.

Document all clinical activities and interventions accurately and completely.

Complete notification reports regarding medication errors and adverse drug reactions.

Effectively supervise pharmacy operation activities and provide support to the entire pharmacy team.

Qualifications

B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy.

Minimum of one year of hospital experience (preferred).

Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Florida State Board of Pharmacy.
