RN - Med Surg Tele
Job Details: • Work every 3rd weekend including holiday rotation • 16-hour NBO (needs-based overtime) availability required • 36-40 hours per week with overtime billable after 40 hours, or 48 hours per week with overtime billable after 48 hours • Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Years, or Thanksgiving) • Limited to 1 day request off between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26 • Patient ratios of 1:5-6 on a 25-bed unit • Care for post TNK, orthopedic, cranial-neurosurgery, laminectomy, and polytrauma patients • May float across other med surg units • Handle drips/titrations including heparin gtts, PCAs, and 3% sodium • Use equipment including lift equipment, telemetry, chest tubes, and airvo • Must be comfortable with tele strip reads and IV administration • 2+ years of Med Surg experience required with Neuro Stroke patient experience • EPIC EMR experience required • Must have completed at least one travel contract within previous 12 months • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS • Iowa nursing license required • De-escalation certificate preferred but not required
