Sous Chef specialized in Chinese cuisine
to join our team for an exciting new
Chinese food restaurant
in Aventura. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the menu and culinary direction of a concept that blends tradition, creativity, and an elevated dining experience.
What Youll Do:
Work closely with the owners to develop and refine an innovative menu rooted in authentic and regional Chinese flavors
Lead day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, and presentation are exceptional
Assist in sourcing ingredients, managing prep, and maintaining kitchen efficiency
Train and guide kitchen staff in proper techniques and execution
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times
What Were Looking For:
Proven experience as a sous chef or senior line cook specializing in Chinese cuisine
Deep knowledge of traditional Chinese cooking techniques, Wok cooking techniques, ingredients, sauces, recipes and styles
Creative flair for developing modern interpretations while respecting authenticity
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to thrive in a startup-style environment and collaborate directly with ownership
English or Spanish language skill is a must
Preferred:
Experience in concept development or opening new restaurants
