Job Title Manufacturing Associate Job Type Contract Contract Length 6 months Base Pay Range $25.00/hr – $27.00/hr (based on skills and experience) Shift & Hours Upstream Day Shift: 6:00 am – 7:00 pm (Day shift rate: $25.00/hr) Upstream Night Shift: 6:00 pm – 7:00 am (Night shift rate: $27.50/hr) Downstream Day Shift: 6:30 am – 7:30 pm Downstream Night Shift: 6:30 pm – 7:30 am All shifts follow a 3‑4‑3 shift pattern. Must be open to working either day or night shift. Description The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for the manufacture of therapeutic proteins (API) under cGMP conditions. Level I associates execute process recipes, follow written procedures (SOPs), monitor equipment and processes, perform basic laboratory tasks (pH, conductivity, sampling), and conduct routine sanitization tasks to maintain facility and equipment. They acquire a basic understanding of cGMP compliance while training under close supervision, and demonstrate aseptic technique in handling products and materials. Responsibilities 40% Set up, operate equipment, and monitor production processes, including clean‑in‑place (CIP) and steam‑in‑place (SIP) operations, and report production in written and electronic documents in accordance with GMP and GDP guidelines. 20% Attain qualification for all assigned tasks and maintain an individual training plan. 10% Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as monitoring pH, conductivity, and testing product samples. 10% Handle material movements, transferring raw materials and chemicals into, out of, and across the production areas. 10% Maintain facility and equipment through routine cleaning and sanitization, supporting 6S programs. 10% Perform administrative tasks—attending shift exchanges and meetings, sending/receiving emails, participating in projects, and performing other duties as assigned. Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent (AS/BS preferred). Preferred area of study: Science‑related discipline. 0–3 years of experience; prior manufacturing experience is preferred. Proven logic and decision‑making abilities; critical thinking skills.
