Job Description and Duties Under the general direction of the Office Chief of Connected Ecosystem, a Supervising Transportation Engineer Electrical (Manager), the incumbent, a Senior Transportation Electrical Engineer, serves as a functional manager of the Connectivity & Broadband Branch. Activities focus on ensuring the integrity, operations and performance of the Traffic Operations System Network (TOSNet) by providing statewide technical direction, leadership, policy, guidance, and procedures for managing the TOSNet that connects the Transportation Management Centers (TMC) with the Transportation Management System (TMS) field elements used to operate the Department's Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure. As the Branch Chief, the incumbent oversees uniform statewide OT methodologies, topologies, and system standards to ensure the TOSNet complies with Department Information Technology (IT) and Security policies and standards.
Special Requirements
Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle.
