The Role
The Real-Time Relevance team builds and scales the distributed systems that power instant, personalized decisioning across the platform.
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll work at the intersection of high-performance backend architecture and machine learning infrastructure—designing services that ensure speed, precision, and adaptability across billions of events. You’ll also help evolve the company’s feature store, enabling real-time model consumption organization-wide. This role offers deep technical ownership across large-scale systems, distributed engineering, and production MLOps.
Responsibilities
Architect and implement backend services supporting real-time personalization and ML feature delivery Build and optimize high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems using Go Collaborate with ML teams to deploy models and develop production MLOps workflows Improve performance, reliability, and scalability of mission-critical systems Contribute to the design of real-time data pipelines and feature management layers (PySpark, Scala) Lead end-to-end initiatives from design through deployment in a fast-paced environment
