Base Pay Range $26.00/hr – $28.00/hr
Your Role Are you known for your attention to detail and excellent customer service? Passionate about overseeing and developing efficient shipment logistics for a wide range of accounts? If so, we have an opportunity that would allow you to provide a vital service for managing the coordination of shipments, ensuring compliance with various government regulations for our Customs Brokerage Division.
What You’ll Do
Receive, review and process documentation for an assigned base of accounts, and process documents through the system.
Serve as single point of coordination between customers (internal and external), U.S. Customs and Border Protection and other government agencies to ensure service commitments are achieved and maintained in accordance with client and company objectives.
Resolve and communicate clearance issues with internal team members and with customers.
Prioritize shipments based on ETA or other factors.
Process customs bonds as needed.
Obtain release and other government agency releases as appropriate, arranging receiving or delivery, and ensuring invoicing for services is completed accurately and within the timeframe consistent with the account and company policy.
Process other duties required for compliant release and timely delivery and receipt of shipments after release, including but not limited to OGA release, cargo delivery set–up, and client invoicing.
Ensure each file is invoiced correctly.
Help identify areas that need improvement.
Coordinate communication across groups and raise potential concerns or customer requirements.
Stay up to date with current U.S. Customs regulations.
What We’re Looking For Education and Experience
1–3 years of processing customs entries or related experience.
High School Diploma or GED.
Skills
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web‑based and job‑specific software applications.
Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills.
Fluent in English, both written and oral.
Characteristics
Ability to learn all aspects of the team’s work, and to provide cover and assistance on a regular basis.
Organizational and time‑management skills.
Self‑starter, sense of urgency, communication.
