Overview
We are seeking a
CT Technologist , sometimes referred to as a Radiologic Technologist II (Rad Tech). As a CT Technologist you will specialize in operating CT scanners and X‑ray machines to produce cross‑sectional images of patients’ internal organs and tissues. You will assist in diagnosing medical conditions and the treatment plan process by producing high‑quality images that help healthcare providers make informed decisions about patient care. This position is on a per diem basis (PD/PRN as needed).

Responsibilities
Prepare patients and ensure they are properly positioned on the CT table and explain the procedure with empathy, addressing any concerns or questions.
Operate CT scanners and X‑ray machines to obtain targeted images, adjusting scanner settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure and maintaining radiation safety at all times.
Monitor patients to ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
Assist radiologists in interpreting images; administer contrast agents or perform certain procedures as needed.
Accountable for quality assurance of CT scanners and X‑ray machines to ensure proper function and accurate image production.
Maintain radiologic supplies, ensuring equipment is in good operating order and following infection control and hygiene protocols.
Participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Control activities, supporting Performance Improvement Programs.
Maintain a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) and registration status with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as required.
Qualifications
One year of acute, clinical radiology experience preferred.
Knowledge of mobile and stationary radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment required.
Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology required.
Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT.
Radiology license and fluoroscopy permit as required by state.
CT ARRT certification effective 07/01/2015 required.
Maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire.
Proficient computer skills.
