We are seeking an Associate Director, Advisory Corporate Affairs to join our Corporate Affairs team.
Responsibilities
Anchor brand visibility and reputation building efforts for the Tech Media and Telecommunications line of business.
Spearhead operational performance across campaigns, instituting strong program management into integrated B2B campaigns to fully exploit each opportunity.
Identify and pursue untapped opportunities to enhance KPMG's reputation on core priorities for TMT and other industries, leveraging data-driven insights and emerging technologies, including GenAI and analytics, to inform and refine communications approaches.
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, providing counsel on media and content strategy, corporate messaging, reputation management, and brand positioning in both internal and external contexts.
Ensure consistent messaging and brand voice across all touchpoints, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate communications efforts seamlessly throughout the organization.
Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment.
Qualifications
Minimum eight years of recent experience in corporate communications, editorial management, and project leadership within professional services or highly matrixed environments.
Master's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. A Bachelor's degree is required.
Proven editorial judgment and background as a journalist or editorial leader, with a demonstrated record in developing thought leadership campaigns and high-impact storytelling for B2B audiences; exceptional project management expertise with a process-oriented, results-driven mindset and the ability to coordinate complex, cross-functional programs from conception to execution.
Advanced skills in media relations—building, managing, and leveraging relationships with leading business and industry journalists, including proactive story pitching and earned media results; strong experience in corporate reputation management, brand strategy, and serving as a trusted advisor to senior executives on media, messaging, and positioning; fluency with emerging technologies, especially AI, data analytics, media monitoring tools, and GenAI platforms.
Demonstrated experience working in a technology company with significant knowledge of current trends and conversations in technology.
Displayed creativity and innovation in content creation, including press releases, executive briefings, bylined articles, social media, and digital communications tailored to diverse audiences; ability to anticipate external trends and proactively address opportunities and risks related to brand and reputation.
Excellence in mentoring and fostering the professional development of communications team members, promoting collaboration, high performance, and knowledge sharing; superb interpersonal and influencing skills, with proven success in forging partnerships with senior leaders and stakeholders across an organization.

California Salary Range: $124,000 - $259,000
