Job Details We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. The role involves designing and managing mechanical, HVAC, and MEP projects. A licensed PE with a background in Mechanical/HVAC Engineering and a passion for sustainable projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of mechanical systems using AutoCAD and Revit.

Ensure all designs adhere to local building codes.

Manage MEP projects from inception to completion, ensuring on‑time and within‑budget delivery.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project outcomes.

Design efficient HVAC systems and contribute to sustainable construction projects.

Supervise and mentor junior engineers.

Participate in project meetings and reviews, providing expert advice.

Monitor industry trends and technologies for innovation opportunities.

Qualifications

BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering (required)

8+ years of HVAC engineering experience

Knowledge of IMC, IECC, and Chicago Building Codes

Experience with energy modeling (TRACE, eQUEST, etc.) is a plus

Understanding of ASHRAE Standards 55, 90.1 & 62.1

Experience with sustainable solutions and LEED certifications is a plus

PE license required

Strong Revit MEP skills (plus); AutoCAD required

Excellent communication skills with diverse clients
