The client, an upscale restaurant group, is seeking a dynamic and team-oriented
Executive Sous Chef
to join our back‑of‑house team at our flagship location in Boston. The successful candidate will ensure all kitchen operations are running smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards in food production and presentation. This role will work closely with the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine to develop new menu items and help oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including supervision of Sous Chefs, Line Cooks and Prep Cooks.
Responsibilities:
Help plan, organize, and execute all culinary activities in the kitchen.
Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff of varied levels.
Execute new menu items based on seasonal and regional ingredients.
Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards.
Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed.
Ensure all kitchen staff adhere to health and safety regulations.
Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen.
Qualifications:
3-4+ years of culinary experience required.
Proven experience as an Executive Sous Chef in a similar fast‑paced and high‑volume restaurant environment with a focus on food quality.
Thorough knowledge of cooking techniques and equipment.
Excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
A creative approach to food presentation.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Able to remain calm and composed in a fast‑paced environment.
A culinary degree or certificate is required.
