Job Description

This role is heavily lab-based, involving daily hands‑on execution of small‑scale purification workflows, chromatography operations, and biofiltration. The ideal candidate enjoys bench work, detailed process development, and data‑driven problem solving in a collaborative environment.

Execute high‑throughput, small‑scale robotic purifications to support early‑ and late‑stage process development, viral clearance, process characterization, and continuous improvement studies.

Develop robust and economical downstream processes for recovering target proteins from bioreactor harvests using chromatography, filtration, and other separation techniques.

Conduct laboratory‑scale process characterization studies and assist in technology transfer to manufacturing.

Perform bioanalytical assays (HPLC, ELISA, SDS‑PAGE, etc.) to support rapid process development.

Acquire, analyze, and document experimental data in electronic lab notebooks.

Collaborate effectively with team members, presenting data and contributing to experimental planning and troubleshooting.

Provide technical support for pilot‑scale or GMP manufacturing of clinical materials, as appropriate.

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related life science field (Master’s preferred).

3+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 2+ years with a Master’s degree.

Hands‑on experience with protein purification and small‑scale chromatography; familiarity with HPLC is a plus.

Experience with AKTA chromatography systems and high‑throughput screening (HTS) platforms is highly desirable.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to perform hands‑on wet lab work, including purification, tangential flow filtration (TFF), and biofiltration, as well as data analysis.
