Troubleshooting and diagnosis: Identify, diagnose, and resolve malfunctions or other issues in electrical systems using various testing devices like voltmeters and ohmmeters.
System upgrades: Perform electrical upgrades, such as replacing outdated components, to ensure they comply with current electrical codes.
Customer service: Communicate with homeowners to explain the work required, provide cost estimates, and address any questions or concerns. The ability to work and communicate clearly with clients is crucial.
Service vehicle operation: Operate and maintain a company van or service vehicle, including performing pre-trip inspections, ensuring its cleanliness, and keeping it stocked with the necessary tools and materials.
Logistics and planning: Plan delivery or service routes and organize the vehicle's stock to ensure efficient job completion.
Record-keeping: Document work orders, mileage, materials used, and repairs completed.
Code compliance: Ensure all work adheres to state and local building regulations, based on the National Electrical Code.
