Lead Casting Buyer, Strategic Purchasing

Rolls‑Royce Power Systems AG is seeking a Lead Casting Buyer (Strategic Purchasing) to manage procurement of casting commodities for our global operations. Positions based in

Novi, MI

and

Aiken, SC . Key Accountabilities: Manage supplier selection and award decisions for casting components. Lead and document contract negotiations, including framework agreements addressing quality, capacity, cost reimbursement, and logistics. Oversee end‑to‑end procurement of cast components up to series production release. Conduct detailed cost and price analyses and support engineering & development actions with suppliers. Identify and implement cost‑reduction opportunities for casting materials and processes. Prepare purchasing award summaries and maintain documentation for production and aftermarket suppliers. Develop commodity strategies aligned with global and regional purchasing goals. Lead cross‑functional projects on time and within budget. Negotiate competitive pricing, contract terms, and long‑term agreements. Resolve pricing, invoicing, and contractual issues proactively. Provide accurate forecasts for annual material, tooling, and repair budgets. Support implementation of standardized purchasing processes, tools and reporting. Create solutions for complex procurement challenges. Contribute to company‑wide cost‑saving initiatives. Maintain professional communication across departments, leadership and suppliers. Uphold workplace organization and housekeeping practices. Keep leadership updated on key tasks, risks and open issues. Promote compliance culture in line with Rolls‑Royce Integrity Code. Support global sourcing initiatives and special projects. Basic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business management, materials management, business finance or related field. 5–7 years of experience in strategic procurement with strong focus on casting commodities. Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field. In‑depth technical and commercial knowledge of casting processes and industry standards. Proven negotiation of complex agreements, supplier relationship management and cost improvement. Experience in a global manufacturing or automotive environment. Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office. Project leadership and effective cross‑functional collaboration. Travel flexibility (domestic and international). Specific knowledge of off‑highway diesel engine commodities. Experience in international procurement, especially in casting sector. Engineering or technical degree. German language skills. SAP experience. Benefits:
