Electric Program Supervisor – Transmission & Distribution
The City of Redding Electric Utility (REU) is seeking a skilled, NERC‑certified professional to lead its Electric Utility Operations – Transmission & Distribution team. The ideal candidate will have considerable experience in power dispatching, substation and transmission operations, and overseeing 24/7 utility system activities, while also being proactive, team‑oriented, and committed to safety, reliability and continuous improvement in electric service delivery.
Base Pay Range $185,796.00/yr – $241,548.00/yr
Responsibilities
Oversee system load coordination, switching operations and emergency response.
Ensure regulatory compliance and readiness for audits.
Skills
Experience with GIS/OMS systems, SOP development, outage communication protocols and operational reporting.
Deep understanding of TO, TOP and TPL NERC standards.
Strong leadership.
Ability to lead a high‑performing team, foster interdepartmental collaboration and coordinate effectively with other utilities and agencies.
Qualifications
Minimum of five years of experience in power dispatching or seven years of relevant experience in utility operations.
Valid NERC certification.
