We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive

Purchasing and Inventory Specialist

to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the procurement of pool-related materials, equipment, and supplies, while maintaining accurate inventory levels to support construction, service, and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, vendor management experience, and a working knowledge of inventory control systems—preferably in the pool or construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

Source, order, and track materials, parts, and equipment needed for residential and commercial pool construction, service, and maintenance.

Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure adequate stock levels across warehouse and field operations.

Receive and inspect incoming shipments; verify quantities and quality against purchase orders.

Monitor usage trends and forecast demand to minimize stockouts or overstock situations.

Collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and technicians to ensure timely delivery of materials to job sites.

Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers; negotiate pricing and delivery terms.

Coordinate returns, exchanges, and warranty claims with suppliers as needed.

Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.

Maintain purchasing and inventory records in ERP or inventory management software.

Identify process improvements in procurement and inventory control workflows.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory, or supply chain roles (construction, pool, or HVAC industry preferred)

High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree a plus

Proficient in inventory management systems, Microsoft Excel, and order tracking tools

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and vendor negotiation skills

Forklift certification or willingness to obtain (if warehouse-based)

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 100 lbs as needed

Standing, bending, and walking in a warehouse setting
