Primary Purpose The Supervisor, Distribution Operations provides leadership for the assigned department, ensuring a safe and engaged team at all times. This role is responsible for meeting operational and team objectives, ensuring safety, quality, and production standards are met, and handling all daily issues and projects under the direction of the Operations Manager. The Supervisor works with Distribution Center Departments, Transportation, and Inventory Management to ensure the timely movement of product.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain a safe and positive work environment where associates are treated fairly and consistently. Support a "Safety First" culture and enforce safe practices to minimize unsafe events and ensure regulatory compliance.
Supervise day‑to‑day activities of the department and assigned team.
Provide direct oversight for warehouse associates and manage team performance through coaching, feedback, and disciplinary efforts.
Partner proactively with all applicable departments to ensure efficient and accurate flow of inventory in and out of the distribution center, meeting commitments to retail.
Monitor department staffing, adjust as needed, and assist in recruiting, staffing, and training activities.
Communicate with appropriate individuals/departments during the shift regarding issues that may affect other warehouse departments.
Lead associates toward achieving their individual and combined goals through hands‑on guidance and training.
Meet department operational and budget goals.
Ensure compliance with established standards for safety, productivity, and accuracy.
Provide feedback to leadership for optimization opportunities.

Financial & Business Acumen – Makes day‑to‑day decisions using business and financial concepts and principles.
Distribution Center Systems, Equipment, Automation & Technology – Demonstrates understanding of systems, equipment, automation, and technology relevant to the role.
Qualifications
5 or more years’ experience in general distribution operations or a BS/BA in a related field.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge
Basic understanding of business financial reports and information.
Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated leadership ability, with the ability to engage and motivate others.
Customer focus.
Collaboration.
Communication.
Problem solving.
Multi‑tasking in a fast‑paced environment.
Other
Ability to work in an environment ranging from -5° to 90+°F for long periods.
Preferred Requirements
College degree preferred.
Supervisory experience of hourly associates.
Certified on powered industrial equipment.
