As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of our food products. Your responsibilities include conducting inspections, tests, and audits throughout the production process to uphold our standards of excellence. Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure adherence to quality specifications and regulatory requirements. Maintain thorough and accurate records of inspection and testing activities, including test results, deviations, and corrective actions taken. Monitor critical control points and production parameters to identify and address deviations from established standards. Verify that equipment, facilities, and personnel adhere to sanitation standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Assist in audits and maintenance of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans; participate in HACCP meetings. Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in quality-related projects and initiatives. Provide training to production personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices. Be flexible to work overtime and non‑standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Perform all other duties as assigned. Minimum Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED; additional vocational training or certification in food production or manufacturing is a plus. Previous experience working in food manufacturing or a similar production environment, preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Knowledge of food safety regulations (FSA, USDA) and quality assurance practices (GMPs). Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects as required in the production process. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, odors, darkness, and poor lighting; noise, vibration, and seasonal weather extremes. Risk of mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, fire, explosives hazards, and communicable diseases. Requires standing, walking around office/warehouse/plant, lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds, and using fine dexterity for reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting. Expectations
