Description
Lead Technician
– 5+ years of Lead or Management experience
L4 Technician
– 5+ years of dedicated DC Experience required; team handles troubleshooting of large GPU deployments inside an enterprise DC environment
L3 Technician
– 3+ years of DC experience
Shifts
Side A Days
– Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Every other Wednesday 6a – 6p
Side A Nights
– Same days as above except 6p – 6a
Side B Days
– Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Every other Wednesday 6a – 6p
Side B Nights
– Same days as above 6p – 6a
Summary Remove network cables as part of a datacenter decommission. Run, Label, Stage Power & Networking Cables. DBD removal only (does not perform any scanning). Follows procedures for preparing, installing, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacing, and/or decommissioning equipment with guidance from Datacenter Technician Leads. Prepares, stages, sets up, and performs basic startups and shutdowns for hardware following written instructions, checklists, guides, standard procedures, and with guidance from Datacenter Technician Leads. Physical audits of datacenter assets.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components. Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Job Responsibilities
Monitor the system for equipment failure or errors in performance
Respond to program error messages by finding and correcting problems or terminating the program
Help programmers and systems analysts test and debug new programs
Operate spreadsheet programs and other types of software to load and manipulate data and to produce reports
Qualifications
Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training preferred
5+ years of DC experience required
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time
Skills
Data Center, Deployment, Fiber optic cable, Cable, Rack and stack, Cabling, Troubleshooting, Cat6, Cat5
Additional Skills & Qualifications Onsite in Mt. Pleasant, WI 3 days per week.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Milwaukee, WI.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 – $44.00/hr.
